  • Beloved friends and fans,

This fundraiser is for my friend's 3 year old daughter Arya, who is fighting for her life.

    Read about Anya's struggle here:

As little as $1 to $5 will make an enormous difference.

Of course, if you are inspired to donate more that will be welcomed with open arms. All donations are 100% tax deductible.

I would also greatly appreciate you sharing this very important and time sensitive cause with your network of friends.

    All my love,

  • Hello everyone - sorry for the long post, but we’d appreciate it if you’d read and share it. The Sheryl Crow Birthday Drive is here again! This year, it’s also a tribute to a dear friend. And we need your help to make it the biggest year ever in his honor.

As many of you know, Gregg Dempsey passed away on New Year’s Eve. Gregg was instrumental in setting up the Sheryl Crow Fan Forum, was a moderator, and helped the members inaugurate the Birthday Drive. Through this process, he became connected to Sheryl’s hometown of Kennett, and to many of the people there. He was more than a super fan; Gregg was an energizer. His friends in Kennett feel a deep sense of personal loss. Gregg was single and is survived by his mother and brother Keith....and many, many heartbroken friends. Read Sheryl's post about Gregg here:

In 2001, a group of fans decided to honor Sheryl's birthday by giving her a gift - a donation to the Delta Children’s in her hometown of Kennett, MO, one of her favorite causes. Providing emergency foster care for children in the area since 1966, Delta Children’s Home had long been supported by Sheryl and her family, with both her brother and her mom serving on the DCH Board of Directors. The first year, around $1600.00 was raised. The Fan Forum Birthday Drive became an annual fundraiser, raising over $200,000 since it’s inception. The biggest year was 2014, when $15,200.00 was raised for the DCH children. This year, in honor of Gregg and with your much needed help, we’d like to surpass that record.

Gregg helped the Birthday Drive run every year and was a huge part of why it became such a success. But he shunned any credit or praise for his efforts, because the Birthday Drive was developed by Sheryl’s loyal fans. It was their idea, brought about by their shared love of Sheryl’s music, their acts of generosity & love of children. Despite the key role Gregg played, he considered himself merely a facilitator of this very worthy cause. Sadly, Gregg is no longer here to act as shepherd, a role he played so well because of his huge heart and intellect.

Attached is a picture of Sheryl and the 2016 Birthday Drive Guitar. It is a Limited Edition American Standard Telecaster, Sonic Blue with Custom Shop pick-ups. It is gorgeous, plays like butter, and one lucky fan will win it, with a personalized autograph from Sheryl. This year, we’re asking everyone to dig a little deeper, donate just a little bit more, to make it the biggest ever for the Delta Children’s Home. It would be a wonderful way to honor Gregg’s memory.

By making a donation to the Delta Children’s Home, you are automatically entered with a chance to win. The Grand Prize winner will be on February 12th, the day after Sheryl’s birthday (February 11th). Donations are open now - no donation is too small or too large!

  • It is with a tremendously heavy heart I have to tell you all that our beloved friend Gregg Dempsey has passed away. He has been a friend to me and my family and to all my fans since the early days of my career. He ran the Sheryl Crow Fan Forum and was an integral part of galvanizing my fan base. Gregg worked hard to support the Delta Children's Home and helped raise over $200,000 for the kids since the annual Sheryl Crow Birthday Drive began in 2001. He was there for so many important events along the way. He was also a dear friend to The Usual Suspects. God bless you, and rest in peace Gregg.
